What high school courses do you need to become a dermatologist

No u didnt ruin ur chances. To get into an excellent medical school u need to get into a great college, which means u need to do ur best in high school. I would reccommend lots of biology & anatomy courses, medical terminology, & classes like that. After u graduate from high school & u get into college u should major in Pre-Med or Biology (you can major in virtually anything & still get into medical school, but these r the popular majors) Anyway, while ur in college u need to do TONS of things, because medical school is really hard to get into. More than half the people that apply r denied. So u need a really high GPA while in college, especially in ur premed classes. You need to do lots of volunteer work during ur freetime. You need to shadow doctors too, this means just follow them around for awhile & observe what they do. The more extracurricular things u have, the better u look. If u get accepted to med school, theres another four years. Usually most of the people accepted graduate too. After u graduate med school u have 1 year of internship & 3 years of residency, where u will work practically nonstop & be paid around 50,000 i think (not sure) But after that u will be making around 200,000. Any career in medicine is a wise choice to go into because it will continue expanding. As for the best colleges, medical school is very expensive, so I would consider staying within ur state.
